Rare Ocular Manifestation of Anti-Vitamin K Accident

A 50-year-old woman who suffered from a cardiac disease under anti vitamin K treatment from 20 years, she consulted in the emergency for a unilateral acute visual loss of the left eye without a context of trauma persistent from 1 month. Clinical findings objected a very low visual acuity at light perception with central hemato cornea (figure1 and 2), a choroidal detachment (figure 3) was found in the ultra-sound examination as well. The examination of the right eye didn’t find any abnormalities except a cataracte. A biological investigation was performed and shown a very high level of INR at 5. The diagnosis of anti-vitamin K accident was retained and the patient was quickly oriented to the cardiology department with ophthalmic symptomatic treatment such as corticoids and hypotonic.
